PT Solutions of Cartersville is located a short distance West of I-75. Go to
the Hwy 113 exit off I-75, turn West. Continue West on Hwy. 113 through Cartersville
to Henderson Drive and turn South (left). PT Solutions of Cartersville will
be on your left a short distance. PT Solutions of Cartersville is located at
650 Henderson Drive in Suite 310 in the West Commons shopping complex next to
the new Golds Gym of Cartersville.

Emily
Yake, PT, DPT
Emily is a Physical Therapist who is originally from Winfield, AL. She
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology
from Judson College, where she graduated with the distinction of magna
cum laude. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the
University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at UAB, she conducted research
studying the reliability, variability and correlation between various
methods of indirectly measuring hamstring length. Emily received the
University of Alabama’s School of Physical Therapy Award for graduate
students and was one of three to be inducted into the Alpha Eta Society
for excellence and service.
Emily is especially interested athletic injuries of the ankle and shoulder,
as well as manual therapy of the spine. Emily is a member of the American
Physical Therapy Association.
Emily is married to Dale Yake. In her free time, Emily enjoys many athletic pursuits like wakeboarding
and running. She is a volunteer for many organizations in the community,
including the American Parkinson’s Disease Association and Big
Brothers/Big Sisters of America. Emily also enjoys painting, playing
the piano, and singing in her church.
Tye Marr,
PT, OCS
Tye is a physical therapist and partner in PT Solutions of Acworth. Tye
is originally from Guymon, Oklahoma . He is a graduate of University
of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a bachelor's degree in Physical
Therapy. Since graduation, Tye has worked in and managed multiple orthopedic
and sports medicine physical therapy practices in Alabama, Rome, GA and
most recently in Atlanta. Tye has served as hospital program director,
clinic director and industrial rehabilitation director.
Tye has expertise in care of orthopedic problems including neck and back pain,
foot and ankle management as well as upper extremity injuries. Through Tye's
clinical experience and education, he has achieved successful outcomes for patients
living with Temporomandibular joint disorder and balance/dizziness problems.
He has worked in development of ergonomic and work place safety programs for
industries in the Atlanta area. Tye is a member of the American Physical Therapy
Association and is an Orthopedic section member. Working with local sports teams
and young athletes as well as providing training and education for injury prevention,
Tye continues to serve the community through special projects. He recently completed
a work place stretching and conditioning program DVD for Southern Company. In
addition to local work, Tye has traveled internationally as an educator in sports
rehabilitation recently lecturing in Beijing, China with fifty sports medicine
physicians.
Tye lives in Kennesaw with his wife Angela and their daughter and enjoys running
as well as playing golf and guitar.
Daniel Pernell, PT, MBA
Daniel Pernell serves PT Solutions as a partner, physical therapist and
clinic director of our Hiram facility. Originally from Winston Salem,
NC, Daniel received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in physical
therapy from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga and completed his
Masters of Business Administration at Shorter College in Rome, GA. Daniel
has gone on to practice in many aspects of physical therapy including
acute care, wound care, spine and athletics. Throughout his career, he
has fulfilled many roles such as team therapist for West Georgia University
football, baseball, basketball and volleyball. Daniel has developed a
specialization in treatment of athletes whose sports require a repeated
overhead throwing motion. Daniel is also certified to offer Functional
Capacity Evaluations to help determine return to work abilities along
with disability and impairment ratings.
Daniel leads the PT Solutions team to support Paulding County School System’s
student athletes through sports performance training and injury management/rehabilitation.
Daniel lives in Dallas, GA with his wife and two children. Daniel is a competitive
triathlete, teaches business development seminars in Kyiv, Ukraine, and is involved
with church activities and community awareness.
Dale Yake, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC
Dale is a physical therapist and athletic trainer. Dale is originally
from the Pittsburgh, PA area. Most recently Dale has completed his Clinical
Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health
Professions in Provo, UT. He received his Master’s in Physical
Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dale is also a
graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, where he earned a Bachelor’s
Degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology.
Dale is a founder of PT Solutions and serves the practice as Physical Therapist
and Chief Clinical Officer. Throughout his career, Dale has served roles
in many facets of the Physical Therapy profession. He has worked throughout
the Southeast in industrial rehabilitation and sports medicine, and has been
a hospital department director, private practice owner, and clinical director
of outpatient services.
Dale is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and
has previously served as Secretary to the Alabama Physical Therapy Association.
Dale is also an APTA Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.
Clinically, Dale has an emphasis in manual therapy, with focus on spinal
issues and industrial injury management. He provides therapist clinical education
on the management of low back, sacral, and cervical problems for therapists.
He has also had the opportunity to work with professional and collegiate
athletics in many sports.
Dale is married to Emily Yake and has two children and is active in running and triathlon and enjoys his
children’s sports and activities. He is active in a church in Marietta,
GA.
